I clash with the new cultural mantra of "I share therefore I am". Does what we share matter? Are we really sharing experience or just shouting through a megaphone while standing on our personal soap boxes. A wonder of the internet is the unlimited connection, but it seems like what we really value is having what feels like a captive audience. Ultimately, this reveals not so much our valueing of being heard, but rather our fear of being alone. It has become our social ritual to share anything and everything in service of that fear.
