I live in Philadelphia with my wife and son and our two cats. I work odd jobs as a demo man knocking down walls, carting debris, loading trucks and moving equipment as an overall workman and caretaker. Before meeting Stella and Margaret at 110 Church, I had never shown in a gallery setting or sold any of my art.
Since I was a child I have been painting, drawing and writing, and I like to combine these elements together in collage, working with found tools and commonplace materials quickly and with as little aesthetic deliberation as possible. After completing a series of poetry writing workshops at The New School for Social Research, I received my B.A. in Literature from their Seminar College in 1988. I still read and write poems most days, with these little books giving me an outlet.
After coming home to my family I take off my boots, feed the cats yet again, light my pipe, crack a beer and after dinner make my things at the kitchen table.
