I'm a fine art printmaker and teaching artist. I earned my MFA from the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts in 2006 and have exhibited widely at art centers, university galleries, and independent art spaces. I've been teaching since 2002, including through the Mural Arts Program and the Philadelphia Museum of Art. I maintain a studio practice in Germantown.
This book is inspired by an actual screach owl who was rescued and is cared for at the Briar Bush Nature Center. She has lost sight in one eye and is now used in educational programing for children.
The whole sheet of paper measures 10" x 17", so when it is folded each page measures 4.25" x 5". It is printed on white Subi paper. The images are created entirely of hand-carved, hand-printed woodblock prints. There was a limited edition of 6 made.
