Susan Viguers has a PhD in English, has published extensively—scholarship, creative non-fiction, and poetry—and for years taught literature and writing at the University of the Arts. Beginning in 1993 she studied printmaking and bookbinding with faculty at the university and made books. They have been exhibited in numerous group and solo shows and are included in Special Collections at over 50 institutions in the U.S. and abroad.
Her most recent award was a Rockefeller Foundation Bellagio Artist Residency. She was the Director of the university’s MFA Book Arts/Printmaking Program for nine years; presently she is a Professor Emerita.
