I have been a full-time artist with wonderful home studio space since 2010, when I retired from my day-job in San Diego and moved back to the Philly area.  Of course I had been a 'kitchen table artist' for most of my life prior to that, from childhood on.

I was a psychotherapist in private practice for over thirty years, with a special interest in dreams, the relationship of creativity and the unconscious, and the resolution of creative blocks.  Prior to that I was an Art History major at Columbia University. Life in New York City was my best art education.

I know that all my previous experiences in life inform who I am as an artist today.  It's hard to find the words to say exactly how.  I just know that it comes out in the work itself.
