I'm an artist living and working in Philadelphia. I make works on paper.
My drawings focus on measurement and probing.
Each series of marks is made by filling a tool then making marks until the liquid is gone. The repetition allows me to be caught up in a rhythm; the proximity of the marks create rest and action. I touch the surface, make the mark, and then move away. In this work the process defines the outcome. It is minimalist, repetitive, and iterative. In my work a topology of process is revealed.
My work is in several private collections.

One dip of the fixed nib pen draws until the line runs out. The lines create different color fields from page to page. The color change is subtle and the values are oh so close. This book uses the measurements vocabulary and tools that I have been investigating for the past couple years.
