Heavy Bubble is thrilled to be a community partner with Philadelphia Open Studio Tours affectionately known as POST. The largest annual tour of visual artist studios in Philadelphia, POST brings you right to the source of our city's impressive art scene. We hung our first show at our South Street Philadelphia Gallery just in time for the second weekend of the tour. We were delighted by the number of visitors that stopped in and wished us well. We've moved to Old City a great neighborhood for art! We're looking forward to another year of partnership.

Being a partner in supporting artists doesn't begin and end with the Open Studio Tours. Stop by our Old City location to pick up your directory and get tips for your tour.

About POST [Philadelphia Open Studios]

The Open Studio Tours are divided geographically over the course of two weekends and run from 12 noon to  6pm. Program offerings spanning 20 unique neighborhoods quite literally put the professional visual artists of our city “on the map” for locals and tourists alike. As a program of the Center for Emerging Visual Artists, The Open Studio Tours creates substantive opportunities for Philadelphia artists, increases awareness of the quality and quantity of visual art in our city, and creates strong bonds among artists, local businesses, arts organizations, and the general public.

Now more a festival than single event, The Philadelphia Open Studio Tours includes self-guided tours of visual artist studios, hands-on workshops, gallery exhibitions, demonstrations, artist talks, receptions, and neighborhood parties cumulatively provide an opportunity for the public to engage with our vibrant arts community from a new perspective – and based on their own specific interests. No other program in or around Philadelphia consistently brings such an intimate and diverse cultural experience to the community free of charge and across such a large geographic area.
