We're thrilled to announce that we will hosting several members of our tribe PD Packard at HQ is one. Some artists work in a corner of their bedroom, a kitchen table, or a big or little corner of their homes. Some work outside the POST perimeter. We're trying to give them some visibility during open studios. Stop in for conversation, snacks, and meet some of the artists that chose Heavy Bubble.
Artist Statement
It's a simple story.
My mother tongue in art + design is color.
Always color-centric, my commitment, and love of the natural world is what I desire to express in my work.
Education
Awarded a scholarship to St Martins School of Art (aka Central St Martins), in London, PD Packard obtained a combined BFA degree in Textile Design and Fashion. When she returned to the states she developed original textiles and surface designs primarily for the cosmetic industry. Many of the principles in printmaking are similar to fabric and surface design making an easy and natural transition for her into fine art printing in 2009.
