PD Packard with be teaching a TWO DAY Workshop on Printing Decorative Papers + Box Art

Saturday and Sunday, April 16 & 17, 2016 from 10 am - 4 pm

 

Discover unlimited color by creating multi-layered patterns on Japanese kozo paper with Akua Liquid Pigments during this two-day workshop. Participants will begin the workshop creating decorative papers that will then be used to cover their own hand made boxes. Open to all levels, participants’ will be taught hands-on demonstrations in relief printmaking techniques and basic box structures. Students are welcome to bring their own bookbinding tools.

Since 2011, PD Packard has been teaching collaborative workshops in Brooklyn and Philadelphia. Awarded a scholarship to Central Saint Martins, in London, she holds a BFA in Fashion and Textile Design. Her prints, watercolors and book arts have been exhibited nationally and internationally.

The workshop will be held in the Brooklyn Studio of Susan Rostow, artist and inventor of Akua™ printmaking inks and accessories.
