Bill Brookover is leading a Hidden Print Collection tour for Fleisher Art Memorial.

Come discover treasures in Philadelphia’s special collections! You will get special behind-the-scenes tours of Philadelphia institutions, where you will see fine art prints and printed ephemera not normally available to the public. Together we will look at prints from the past, learn how they were made, and learn how they are relevant to us today. The history of printmaking will come to life as we discover up close how artists used print processes like lithography, screen printing, and etching to make art and communicate ideas.

The C. R. Ettinger Studio, the only professional etching studio in the Philadelphia area, was established in Philadelphia in 1982 by Cindi Royce Ettinger. Working as a master printer for over two decades, Ms. Ettinger has collaborated on a diverse group of projects and has had studio exhibits both locally and abroad. The studio specializes in intaglio and relief techniques. All artwork is original and produced collaboratively with the artist. In addition to contracting services for limited editions, the studio also accommodates monoprinting. We’ll tour the print shop with Cindi, and look as some of her master printing projects, including Philagraphika Portfolios.

Bill Brookover is one of the tribe and a practicing artist.
