Exhibition Opportunity — The One Fifty/One Fifty Show

In celebration of the Philadelphia Sketch Club’s 150th anniversary, an open exhibition of 150 works will be held between July 23rd through August 14th, 2010

Delivery: Hand delivery only- Friday, July 16th, 2010, and Saturday, July 17th, 2010, 1-5 p.m. at PSC if needed. If 150 entries are taken in on Friday, a notice will be posted on the door of the PSC on Saturday. (see address below).

Entry Fees:
A flat fee of $15 per entry will be charged.

Pickup:
Sunday, August 15th, and Monday, August 16th, 2010
1-5 p.m. at PSC

Reception: All patrons are invited to the opening reception on Sunday, July 25th,2010, from 2-4 p.m. The Award will be presented at 3 p.m.

Works Eligible: Open to all media. Any 2-D work cannot exceed 30” on any dimension. You may enter as many pieces as you like. Any 3-D work must have it’s own base and support and not exceed a 30” by 30” foot print. Any video displays included should not exceed a 30” x 30” footprint. Artist should plan on providing their own stand pedastal, supply their media to play on, clear operation instructions for gallery attendant, and headphones for audio playback. Any 3-D or electronic media may be moved by gallery attendant during the length of the exhibition to accommodate workshops in the gallery space. All submitted work must be offered for sale during the exhibition. No transparencies will be accepted. Maximum framed size 30x40 inches. All work must be wired and ready for hanging. No clip frames.

The Exhibition Chairs reserve the right to reject any entries they deem unsuitable for the Philadelphia Sketch Club’s exhibition space.

Jurors:
This is an unjuried show - the first one hundred and fifty works to come in on July 16th and 17th will be accepted into the exhibition.

Prizes: There will be one top prize of $150 awarded. The winner will be selected by popular vote by the attendees at the Opening Reception held on Sunday July 25th 2010. The Award will be given at 3 PM. Each person attending the reception will be given a card and will be asked to write their choice for the Award Winner on the card. Cards will be placed in a box in the gallery, and at 3 PM the counting of votes will take place in the gallery.

Liability: All submitted work will be handled with care, however the Philadelphia Sketch Club assumes no liability for loss or damage. Sales: The gallery will be open on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from 1:00 – 5:00 p.m. for the duration of the exhibition. A sales attendant will be on duty. Prices should include a 25% commission for PSC.
